The Client & Challenge

A new brand, starting from near-zero search

Migsam Safaris designs personalized safari adventures across Tanzania β€” Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Zanzibar β€” with expert local guides and a responsible-travel ethos. Founded in 2024 and based in Arusha, it is a member of TANAPA and the Tanzania Tourism Board.

As a young operator, Migsam needed to build organic visibility from almost nothing β€” competing against long-established safari brands for the destination and itinerary searches that drive direct bookings.

No established search footprint

A 2024-founded operator with almost no indexed history or backlink profile to compete with brands that had ranked for years.

Underdeveloped tour & park pages

Itinerary and destination pages lacked the depth and structure travelers and search engines expect from a credible operator.

Low awareness among planners

Travelers researching Tanzania safaris had little reason to discover Migsam organically before this engagement.

Our Strategy

Building search authority for a new brand

01

Destination & intent keyword research

Mapped keyword clusters around Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Zanzibar itineraries, prioritized by search volume and booking intent.

02

Technical SEO foundation

Fixed indexation and crawl issues, improved site speed, and implemented TripPackage / Review / FAQ schema so tour pages could win rich results.

03

Expanded itinerary & destination content

Built detailed park guides, tour breakdowns and best-time-to-visit content to capture the long research phase of safari planning.

04

Authority & local presence building

Grew backlinks from travel and tourism sources and strengthened directory and Google Business Profile presence to build trust for a new brand.

From zero to 4,380 impressions in Tanzania

In the six months before this phase, the site registered zero impressions from Tanzania β€” it wasn't appearing there at all. Over the most recent six months, that grew to 4,380. Not incremental gain on an existing base, but a brand-new market coming online for a young operator.

The Challenge

Breaking through in a crowded travel niche

Migsam faced limited organic reach and brand visibility on social, a low starting follower base in a highly competitive safari niche, and the constant challenge of turning organic interest into measurable brand demand β€” all while needing engaging, shareable content that builds trust with international travellers.

Campaign Objectives
Grow organic audience across Facebook & Instagram among international travellers.
Increase views & reach β€” lift content views, reach and watch time across both channels.
Drive interactions β€” more likes, comments and shares on every post.
Build brand presence β€” a recognisable, story-driven identity across Meta.
Support paid social β€” lay the organic foundation that strengthens paid campaigns.
