A young Tanzania safari operator, grown across three disciplines in one integrated Markethix programme โ organic search, social media and paid Meta lead generation โ from a near-zero baseline into a resilient international demand engine.
How Markethix grew organic search for Migsam Safaris โ a 2024-founded custom Tanzania operator โ from a near-zero baseline over a six-month engagement. Trailing 6 months vs. the prior 6, pulled live from Google Search Console and GA4.
Migsam Safaris designs personalized safari adventures across Tanzania โ Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Zanzibar โ with expert local guides and a responsible-travel ethos. Founded in 2024 and based in Arusha, it is a member of TANAPA and the Tanzania Tourism Board.
As a young operator, Migsam needed to build organic visibility from almost nothing โ competing against long-established safari brands for the destination and itinerary searches that drive direct bookings.
A 2024-founded operator with almost no indexed history or backlink profile to compete with brands that had ranked for years.
Itinerary and destination pages lacked the depth and structure travelers and search engines expect from a credible operator.
Travelers researching Tanzania safaris had little reason to discover Migsam organically before this engagement.
Mapped keyword clusters around Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Zanzibar itineraries, prioritized by search volume and booking intent.
Fixed indexation and crawl issues, improved site speed, and implemented TripPackage / Review / FAQ schema so tour pages could win rich results.
Built detailed park guides, tour breakdowns and best-time-to-visit content to capture the long research phase of safari planning.
Grew backlinks from travel and tourism sources and strengthened directory and Google Business Profile presence to build trust for a new brand.
In the six months before this phase, the site registered zero impressions from Tanzania โ it wasn't appearing there at all. Over the most recent six months, that grew to 4,380. Not incremental gain on an existing base, but a brand-new market coming online for a young operator.
| Metric | Prior 6 mo | Last 6 mo | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Total Clicks (GSC) | 431 | 720 | +67% |
| Total Impressions (GSC) | 13.6k | 53.3k | +291% |
| Active Users (GA4, all channels) | 869 | 1,802 | +107% |
| New Users (GA4) | 706 | 1,545 | +119% |
| Average Position (GSC) | 26.3 | 26.4 | Held flat |
Average position held essentially flat (26.3 โ 26.4) and average CTR eased as impression volume grew โ the normal pattern when a young site starts ranking for a much wider set of queries. Every figure is pulled live from Search Console and GA4, current as of September 2026.
โBefore Markethix, we were basically invisible in search. Six months in, we're showing up for the exact searches travelers use when they're actually ready to book a Tanzania safari โ and we can see it in our inquiries.โ
A story-driven organic + paid social programme spanning the Great Migration, Maasai culture and family-friendly safaris โ built for international travellers planning East Africa trips. January โ September 2026.

Safari is a long-consideration, high-value purchase โ many enquiries plan well in advance, so a large share of proposals remain open and continue to mature into bookings over following seasons. The bookings figure is an estimate based on the booking-to-enquiry ratio observed during tracked reporting.
The typical Migsam lead is a couple or family planning a mid-to-premium multi-day safari. Nearly half of enquiries are couples, and 80% quote a budget of $600+ per person per day โ a healthy, high-value demand profile. Serengeti + Ngorongoro Crater multi-park itineraries are the most requested.
