A Kenya & Tanzania safari operator, grown on two fronts by Markethix โ wildlife storytelling that scaled reach across Facebook & Instagram, and a lean Meta lead-gen engine that turned a $3K+ product into booked trips.
A story-driven organic + paid social programme across Facebook & Instagram โ the Great Migration, Maasai culture, gourmet bush dining and family-friendly safaris โ built for international travellers planning East Africa trips. January โ September 2026.
WeCam Safaris is a Kenya- and Tanzania-focused safari and wildlife operator producing scenic, high-quality content โ yet social visibility was low relative to the scale of what was being produced, and organic Facebook reach was flat to declining heading into the year.
The brief: convert that cinematic safari footage into consistent, measurable reach, with a content mix (photos, reels, stories) that scales efficiently across two platforms.
Great Migration & wildlife storytelling ยท Maasai culture and family experiences ยท gourmet bush dining & behind-the-scenes lodge moments ยท seasonal guidance (โThe Green Seasonโ) ยท Kenya & Tanzania destination spotlights.
Short-form Reels built on cinematic wildlife footage ยท high-quality photo posts for destination & culture ยท Stories for timely moments ยท every asset cross-posted to both platforms via Meta Business Suite.
Emotive, narrative-led captions (โPOV: You are livingโฆโ) ยท romantic & family-travel framing to widen appeal ยท paid amplification layered on organic ยท consistent WeCam watermark on every asset.
Facebook views were overwhelmingly ad-driven โ 386,932 of 394,986 (98%) came from paid promotion, while organic views declined 13.6% YoY. Interactions, however, grew 455.6% โ paid reach translating into genuine engagement, not passive impressions.
Unlike Facebook, Instagram organic views grew 427.6% YoY on their own โ a genuine organic lift, even before the additional 83,293 paid views. Instagram content (particularly Reels) is resonating natively with the platform's audience.
Reels were only 17 of 59 published pieces (29%) but drove 86 of 550 total interactions and over 10,600 views โ a disproportionately strong return relative to production volume. Link-format ad creative drove the bulk of raw view volume (375,949), consistent with the paid-media-led growth above.

352 leads ยท 7 booked customers ยท $2,368 spend. How Markethix engineered a Meta lead-generation engine for WeCam Safaris Kenya โ starting with USA, Australia and Spain, and unlocking a Middle East breakthrough that converted an entire booked trip. May โ September 2026.
WeCam Safaris โ a Kenya-based operator offering premium 7- and 11-day itineraries from โฌ2,300 per person โ needed international lead generation across the USA, Australia, Spain, France, Germany and UK.
The safari space is dominated by well-funded South African and Tanzanian operators outspending WeCam 10-to-1. The brief: build a lean, testable Meta engine that generated qualified leads, filtered out tire-kickers before the sales team spent time on them โ and converted at least some of those leads into booked trips.

Replaced generic โbook a safariโ ads with emotionally-led hooks โ โSome places you visit. Kenya, you feel.โ โ paired with cinematic imagery of the Great Migration and luxury lodges. Split-tested brand vs. urgency angles.
Ran the US/EU brief first, then followed the data. Several secondary countries surfaced as unexpected winners โ and a dedicated Middle East trial outperformed everything.
Rebuilt the Instant Form around three questions: which itinerary, when travelling, budget tier. The sales team stopped fielding โjust browsingโ enquiries โ every lead came in pre-qualified with intent.
The full journey โ 449K impressions to 7 booked customers ยท $6.73 cost per lead ยท 1.32% CTR ยท $338 ad cost per booking.
Different markets, different emotional triggers โ both delivered leads that became booked trips. Click an ad to enlarge.
Cinematic hero shot of the Maasai Mara at golden hour with elephants and a hot-air balloon. Positioned to premium first-world audiences with clear inclusions and a starting price โ building emotional desire before revealing the offer.
Built specifically for the Gulf โ leaning on privacy, luxury, family-friendly framing and short-flight positioning. Delivered a $3.01 cost per lead: less than half the account average.
Real bookings across two continents โ validating both the first-world and Middle East audience streams as commercially viable.
Across three active lead-gen campaigns, the Middle East trial delivered the lowest cost per lead โ validating a strategic pivot beyond the original Western-market brief.
The data revealed a clear buyer profile: men aged 35โ54 delivered the lowest cost per lead โ a high-value insight for future creative and audience refinement.
Facebook drove 3 out of every 4 leads at a materially lower CPL than Instagram โ informing future budget allocation.
Saudi Arabia and the UAE deliver the cheapest, highest-volume leads and have proven booking conversion. Scale spend there with creatives built around Gulf family-travel triggers.
Use the confirmed customers as a high-value seed for Value-Based Lookalikes โ the most reliable way to compound Meta lead-gen into repeat bookings.
Given the ~30% CPL advantage on Facebook, break Instagram into a separate ad set (or exclude it) to concentrate spend where it converts best.
A few countries delivered one lead each at $28โ$121 CPL. Pause these and redirect budget to the top confirmed winners.
Gulf audiences convert 2โ3ร higher on WhatsApp than on lead forms. A parallel WhatsApp campaign could unlock even lower cost-per-booking and warmer conversations.
The urgency-led โ12 seats ยท September 4โ angle worked. Add October, January and July departures to create a rolling scarcity engine โ not a one-time push.
Markethix helps safari, tour and adventure-travel brands turn social storytelling and paid Meta ads into booked trips โ the same lean, testable playbook that generated 352 qualified leads and 7 bookings for WeCam Safaris.
